Saying Goodbye

Organising a funeral for a loved one can be one of the most difficult and challenging experiences of your life.

In your grief, you may need to rely heavily on those who can best guide you with your decision making.

As your celebrant, I will work alongside your funeral director making sure everything comes together on the day.

From the music, to flowers, to photo tributes. I will gently suggest ways that you can celebrate the life of your loved one.

With many years experience I can assist you and your family with music choice, appropriate readings or poetry and will support those who wish to write their own tributes. Whether they can present them or not. There is always the option for me to share those tributes on your families behalf.

I will spend time with you and your family gathering all the information to put together the life story or eulogy.

Write the ceremony and then have it proof read, making changes until it is just the way it needs to be. True to the person whose life we are celebrating. And appropriate for the mourners the service is being delivered to.

With your approval a personalised candle is lit at the beginning of the service in tribute of your loved one. This candle is then given to you to light when you feel the need. And on occasions where you might like to remember them. Such as birthdays and Christmas.

Other rituals can be included such as laying flowers on the coffin, dancing, singing, balloon releases etc. Whatever is appropriate!

And a celebrant does not have to be referred by the funeral director. You can in fact request a particular celebrant for your loved ones funeral. Just contact me to see if I am available.
